What is the Internet?
Take a look at the following presentation.
What is the Internet
Discuss among yourselves the relevance of the internet and how it can aid in modern day business endeavours. Why would you recommend a web based solution to someone in preference to their current paper based or locally hosted solution?

Re: What is the Internet?
The Internet is a global network connecting millions of computers. The internet allows users to gain access to a wide variety of information. I would recommend a web based solution because it helps to have an online backup in case the physical documents are lost due to unforeseen mishaps.

Re: What is the Internet?
The Internet is at once a world-wide broadcasting capability, a mechanism for information dissemination, and a medium for collaboration and interaction between individuals and their computers without regard for geographic location. The Internet represents one of the most successful examples of the benefits of sustained investment and commitment to research and development of information infrastructure.
I would recommend a web based solution to someone in preference to their current paper based or locally hosted solution because the possibilities are endless. To that, there is more efficiency when dealing with cases of deadlines and collaborations.
I agree with Mr. Kellier. It does also provide a safety net should there be any unfortunate mishaps -- as the tangible source materials are concerned. Having a copy or back-up of such documents - important ones no less - can significantly lower the risks of those documents being lost to the sands of time.

Re: What is the Internet?
Definitely guys! The internet allows individuals to gain access to information on a timely basis, basically at your finger tips. Web based solutions allows for easy access. Also in case of unknown emergencies e.g. fire, floods etc. information would not be lost or damaged.

Re: What is the Internet?
THE INTERNET BASICALLY IS A PUBLIC LIBRARY, OR BETTER PUT A VAST LIBRARY WHICH IS MADE UP OF A VAST COMPUTER NETWORK THAT PROVIDES SERVICES SUCH AS COMMUNICATION AND INFORMATION WHICH USES A STANDARDIZED FORMAT.
AS FOR RECOMMENDATION TO A WEB BASED SOLUTION BECAUSE ITS MORE EFFICIENT.

Re: What is the Internet?
The internet is a connection of computer databases that are connected and are almost all the time readily available with most of them having a backup somewhere else. The internet is worldwide and access available to all persons at all time. Imagine have a constant and repeatitive add with all your companies information available around the clock even while you sleep. So that's why it would be able to enhance and promote you business to compete with giants in your field and those larger companies offering the same goods and services as you.

Re: What is the Internet?
The internet is a global networking system that provides a variety of information and communication amenities. The Internet has made it accessible to retrieving information and communication. The Internet has an enormous influence on education. Instead of searching the library, users can access huge amounts of data from home computers. Internet access works well will businesses also, allowing employees to work remotely from home more efficiently. Improvements in an online connectivity and communication technology allow physicians much greater access to medical resources.
Regarding the web based solutions, I concur with Kellier. Web based solutions can also be cost effective and be accessible anywhere.

The internet is a telecommunications network that uses telephone lines, cables, satellites and wireless connections to connect computers and other devices to the World Wide Web.
The internet in this day an age is quite useful in desperate times.Need information about something rather than going to the library ? Just by the use of the internet ,we can gain access to readily information quick and easy
I would recommend a web base solution simply because it is more efficient in ways of storage and accesss
