My Favourite Toy
Outline what your favourite development or technology stack is.
Language (PHP, ASP.Net, Ruby, etc)
Server (IIS, Apache, Coldfusion, etc.)
Database (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Justify your preference. Personal opinion and bias is welcome. Why do you think it is effective and why you will have satisfied customers at the end of the implementation.

Re: My Favourite Toy
As it stands I do not currently have any favourites. I will say however, I am inclined towards:
Language(s) - ASP.Net (Razor Syntax specifically). Python, Ruby and PHP are languages I would like to master.
Server(s) - IIS and Apache
Database(s) - MSSQL and MySQL

Re: My Favourite Toy
My favorite:
Language is PHP. I was introduced to ASP.NET messed around with but was a big fan. I've heard about RUBY but have researched much on it.
I'm not that well intune on Servers so I do not have a favorite.
I am not a big fan of Database.

Re: My Favourite Toy
I like messing with Java (*gasp*) because I learned OOP, Applications Prog., and Enterprise Techs. (jsp) in it. Good teacher, fun class. The swing GUI stuff is cool to play with.
As far as 'stack' goes, I guess I'd say PHP → Apache → MySQL because they are free and open-source, making them easy to get into, and great for experimentation and exploration.

Re: My Favourite Toy
in all honesty, i am not a good programmer, writing code is not what i do, but c++ is the preferred language, server that i was thought to use was Apache, and same with the database MySQL.
